Privacy Policy
Updated September 16, 2026.
About this policy
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared when you visit or make a purchase from oravite.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Oravite (“Oravite”, “we”, “our”, “us”). For privacy questions, contact support@oravite.com.
Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone and some of the cookies installed on your device. As you browse, we also collect information about the pages or products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this as “Device Information”. We collect Device Information using:
- “Cookies”, data files placed on your device that often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable them, visit allaboutcookies.org.
- “Log files”, which track actions on the Site and collect data such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and date and time stamps.
- “Web beacons”, “tags” and “pixels”, electronic files used to record how you browse the Site.
When you make or attempt a purchase, we collect your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, order details and payment information. Payment card details are handled by our payment providers; we do not store your full card number. We refer to this as “Order Information”. We also keep any messages you send us.
In this policy, “Personal Information” means both Device Information and Order Information.
How we use your personal information
We use Order Information to fulfil orders placed through the Site, including processing payment, arranging shipping and providing invoices, order confirmations and shipment updates. We also use it to:
- communicate with you about your order, subscription or enquiry;
- manage your Subscribe & save subscription, including renewals and cancellations;
- screen orders for potential risk or fraud;
- where you have opted in, send you information or offers relating to our products.
We use Device Information to help us screen for risk and fraud, in particular your IP address, and more generally to improve and optimise the Site, for example by generating analytics about how customers browse and interact with it and by assessing the performance of our marketing.
We do not currently offer a newsletter or SMS programme. If we introduce one, we will ask for your consent before sending marketing messages, and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.
Sharing your personal information
We share Personal Information with service providers who help us operate the Site and fulfil orders, and only to the extent needed for them to provide their services:
- Shopify, which powers our online store. You can read how Shopify uses your Personal Information at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- Payment processors, which handle your payment securely.
- Shipping carriers and fulfilment partners, which need your name, address and contact details to deliver your order.
- Subscription, email and customer-support tools we use to manage renewals and respond to you.
- Analytics and advertising services, which help us understand how customers use the Site and measure our marketing.
We may also share Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or otherwise to protect our rights.
Behavioural advertising
We may use your Personal Information to show you targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For more information about how targeted advertising works, visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s educational page at networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.
You can opt out of targeted advertising through the settings of the platforms concerned, for example Facebook (facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads) and Google (google.com/settings/ads/anonymous), and through the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal at optout.aboutads.info. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting advertising cookies, and you can change your choice through the cookie settings on the Site.
Do Not Track
We do not alter the Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to ask that it be corrected, updated or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy of your information in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact support@oravite.com. We may need to verify your identity before we respond.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process your information to fulfil contracts we have with you, for example when you place an order, or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests described above. Your information may be transferred to countries outside your own, including to the countries where our service providers operate; where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Data retention
When you place an order through the Site, we keep your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it, subject to our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules. We keep Device Information for as long as needed for the purposes described above. No online system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
Minors
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with Personal Information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page.
